Health & Conditions
-
COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) is a chronic lung condition that causes airflow obstruction, commonly leading to breathing difficulty, coughing, and wheezing. It's most often caused by long-term exposure to cigarette smoke, and Dr. Abdallah provides comprehensive management including medication therapy and ongoing monitoring.
-
Common signs include loud snoring, pauses in breathing during sleep witnessed by someone else, morning headaches, and excessive daytime sleepiness. If these sound familiar, a sleep evaluation can help determine whether you have sleep apnea.
-
Pulmonary fibrosis is a condition where lung tissue becomes scarred over time, making it harder for the lungs to function properly. Symptoms include shortness of breath, a dry cough, and fatigue. Early diagnosis and ongoing management can help slow its progression.
-
Most lung nodules are benign, but they should be evaluated. Dr. Abdallah can review your imaging, assess your risk factors, and recommend appropriate follow-up — which may include repeat imaging or further evaluation via bronchoscopy.
